Ogren

David Ogren passed away May 28, 2018 in the hospice unit of the VA Hospital in Durham.

He grew up in Jamestown, N.Y., served honorably in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era then moved to Cleveland, OH. After raising a family there he lived in Kill Devil Hills for six years, and then retired to Cary, NC. He loved his family, fishing, music, home improvement projects and working in the yard. He was a former member of the Cary Cross Trailers Square & Round Dance Club, the Heart of Cary Association and the Cary posts of the American Legion and the VFW.

He is survived by Dee, his wife of 44 years, sons Jason, Scott, and Mike, their wives and 8 grandchildren.

Many thanks for the excellent care he received to the staff at the Durham VA (especially the Hospice Unit and the COACH Program) and the Total Life Center at Bond Park.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 100 Lochmere Drive in Cary. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall after the service.
